Apart from the inclusion of a front wheel drive a coupe version of the Corolla was also launched. The latter was a GT-5 and had a 16 valve engine. The next generation just improved on the style and capability of the car. The Corolla continued to be a popular choice among car lovers.
The seventh edition arrived with a compact size and the next came with a higher capacity engine. Comfort and convenience was mixed to deliver the ninth generation Corolla. The latter is a eco- friendly car that minimized the fuel consumption considerably. Priced reasonably this car is truly the people's car, which was the initial objective of launching the Toyota Corolla.
