In France, also, a large number of voiturettes were manufactured but these cars were not sold aboard in such a great rate like that of the German Bubble Cars. In Japan also there is tradition of Micro Car manufacturing. These were known as the keicars and differ to a great extent from the European design of the Micro Cars. Main difference between the European and Japanese Micro Cars is that the Japanese versions are designed in a very traditional way and by following the quite orthodox configurations. While the European ones are designed in a very bizarre and unorthodox style.

- GEM: GEM or the Global Electric Motorcars have attained great popularity among the car lovers. Various models of GEM provide space for 2 to 4 passengers. Most of the GEM models are of Golf Car style.
- The Think Nordica: The famous Ford Motor Company imported this Micro Car to USA and these were mainly used in the U.S state of California to satisfy demands of the Zero Emissions vehicle.
